Where’s the massive celebration? Where’s the notice in the mail? No parades in the streets? War on Terror is done!?

In an article on Reuters, Clinton says,

“The (Obama) administration has stopped using the phrase and I think that speaks for itself. Obviously,” Clinton told reporters traveling with her to The Hague for a conference on Afghanistan, which Bush called part of his “global war on terror.”

Wow. That’s it? Way to be honest Obamastration. So WTF are we doing in Afghanistan still? War on Bad Guys? National reconstruction? Which takes 60,000 troops to fix?

As many historians or geopoliticalists can tell you, Afghanistan is of a highly strategic position in the Eastern world.  It’s extremely easy to defend, and hard to conquer- especially against guerilla tactics. It lies just due East of Iran, South of Russia (and former Soviet bloc countries- “privileged” nations), Northwest of Pakistan and India, and West of China.

Despite the claim that “War on Terror” is no longer used, there still remains a list of over 900,000 suspected terrorists, as reported by the ACLU. The “Obamastration” has a long way to go before we can feel secure at night knowing Big Brother isn’t monitoring our privacy for their own personal gain rather than to keep us safe from the boogeyman. Which inherentily seems to be them.

The organization Amnesty International issued a “100 Day Checklist” for Obama to follow to ensure compliance with the Constitution to counter Bush’s unconstitutional reign. With 30 Days Left to go, Obama is scoring poorly so far. Of 17 simple objectives, he has only completed 2 of them.

The American Civil Liberties Union issued a report that demands the repeal of many portions of the Patriot Act which are unconstitutional and threaten our liberty and personal sanctity.

Involvement in Afghanistan..

This is an area of the world that falls almost out of realm from Western Civilization’s way of life. Cultures that have for the most part, remained untainted by Judeo-Christian spiritual deconstruction. They’re in a position of opportunity that puts the United States to shame. It can already be claimed that China surpasses our productivity. As resources start to become scarce and mega-nations fight to preserve their holdings from past Imperial expansionism, a new Cold War emerges in a fight for bitter survival.  The fight is no longer on Terror, an ambiguous line of crud that made no sense other than in post-911 rhetoric. It’s a fight that will use Global Warming, and Global Economic Disaster as a means to justify the ends. We can only hope and pray with all our powers that this does not mean another World War. We must do everything in our global citizenry powers to ensure that compromise, peace, and justice take hold of the regins of government. Because this could very mean the war of wars. Either physically, spiritually, or mentally. When I say spiritually, I’m referring to our connection with Mother Earth, from whom we’ve detached ourselves through industrial means, polluting and destroying at a rapid pace. Putting profit before logic and bioscience. We’re now in the Age of Aquarius, an age of reason, enlightenment, and understanding.

In the end, it will be a war of the mind. A test to our patience, our responsibilities, and humility.
